This is my office mate, Vincent Parry, at home with his wife, Marie, and 11-month old Nenyi. Vincent has been very busy offsite, visiting TSS clients, and so he missed a lot of my web design classes. I want to help him catch up, but he needs some motivation. I told him I would take digital photos of his very adorable baby and help him build a web page to put them on the internet. So last week, he took me home.

It was also good to talk to Marie, who is a designer herself, and learn more about the practice of graphic design here in Ghana. Marie left her job recently to start her own business designing batik fabrics. I had fun showing her some of the design software we have on my Powerbook. Naturally, Nenyi wanted to use the computer himself. I wanted to give him something to play with, and settled on the power source. It looks like a silver alien spacecraft, and seems pretty indestructible. As you can see below, Nenyi is "plugged in".
