Geek Fun and Games

The Geek fashion supplement continues. On the left, Babak is measured by the tailor for some more excellent trousers. Jason's on deck. Next, Tim and Tomas are seriously decked out to see the Black Stars, Ghana's national team, play Nigeria at the national stadium. On the right, Jason, Jean and Tomas, modeling their (very sweaty) basketball wear after a game at Jason's colleague Vincent's.

Every Thursday at Champs, the ex-pat sports bar, is Trivia Night. The reigning champion trivia team (the Geeks--of course) makes up the questions for the next week's game. We pooled our vast intellectual resources to come up with 50+ questions to spring on the teams, and came up with a stellar showcase of Geek brains with questions like: "How many times could Bill Gates pay off the Ghanaian national debt?" or "Which countries does Burkina Faso have a border with?" or "What was Arnold Schwarzenegger's first movie?" The winning team was a group of Peace Corps volunteers, which means we have successfully wrested control of Trivia Night from the Brits who had dominated and who came up with silly questions like "How long is a regulation cricket wicket?"
